Grace 215 Inc.
In a time when natural disasters are occurring more frequently, Grace 215 Incorporated was formed to help meet the needs caused by the ever-increasing damages to property and possessions across not only Georgia, but the United States as well. Grace 215 is a faith-based, disaster relief, nonprofit organization that was founded in December of 2012 by Joseph Sledge.
When natural or man-made disasters strike, Grace 215 will work in corporation with first responders to aid, facilitate, or lead recovery and cleanup efforts to communities, individuals, and disaster victims impacted by the devastation and chaos. In 2018, the United States had two hurricanes that made landfall, thousands of tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flooding, and mud slides to leave destruction in its path.
Grace 215 is focused on short-term recovery at the present time.
Our core team has responded to hurricane and tornado damage in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi with chainsaw work and debris cleanup at several home sites, hundreds of thousands of dollars of tree work performed at NO cost to the victims.
We always strive to be well trained in our response efforts as well as being safety minded. This same team has been trained in the safe operation of the equipment we use as well as attending training events with EMA, GEMA, and including taking FEMA independent study courses.
Grace 215 continues to further train by conducting training events for volunteers to improve the skills needed in an actual disaster. At this present time, Grace 215 is an all-volunteer non-profit organization. Funding is provided by member contributions, donations from the general public, grants from private corporations, donations through our website, churches, and other non-profit organizations.
